The Shuel Family, Owners Bryan and Tracie Shuel and their two daughters Carlie and Katie.
Ray's Meats has been family owned since 1958.
In 2007 when Founder Ray Shuel retired, Bryan and Tracie bought the company. Over the last 10 years Ray's Meats has seen some big changes and growth. At this time when Bryan took on the role of President he had new ideas wanting to take Ray’s Meat’s to the next level. It was essential to the growth of the company to bring in new commodities. With the help of the Ray’s Meats Team a line of dry good items was brought to the business becoming a full line distributor in the food service business. Now most recently a batter and breading line has been added to our production. Bryan has also automated a lot of equipment in the production area, continuing to improve quality and service, providing only the best to our valued customers.
Tracie takes care of and oversees Ray’s Meats advertising. She is the designer of our brand, as well as all of our branded items featured in our front office. Tracie has been a great asset to the company as she brings a lot of creative aspects and ideas to the business. Within the last several years as the company celebrated 60 years of service to the Yakima Valley she designed a new box that you will see all of our branded line of items in such as our Marinated Tri-Tips "Ray's Special Blend" and Chicken Fried Steak.
Bryan and Tracie’s oldest daughter is Carlie. She has interest in the family business as well. At 16 years old Carlie officially began working in the summers and on school breaks. She started out by making and labeling boxes for our production, cleaned around the facility and then moved into working in the production room packaging product. After high school she soon learned and took on the role of inventory for our production. Then she took the next step forward and began working in our front office. For two years she helped our valued walk-in customers as well as working on marketing and advertising projects for Ray’s. Some of these projects include our social media pages, annual food shows, and website. Carlie graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in June, 2019.
Carlie is now our Controller, overseeing accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and managing our office staff.
Katie the youngest daughter of the Shuel family just graduated high school! She has interest herself in starting to learn the family business. Katie helps in areas where needed such as working in our production room, making boxes, cleaning, labeling, etc. She plans to continue learning different aspects of the company to grow and move forward!
